ActivIdentity Soft Tokens

ActivIdentity offers a complete product line of authenticators for every requirement. Soft Tokens provide unique benefits for organizations looking to leverage devices that user already carry including Smart phones, PDAs and Laptops. Soft Tokens provide businesses a simple and efficient solution for the distribution, activation and reuse of tokens for strong authentication. All of ActivIdentity Soft Tokens support the OATH (HOTP) standard algorithm.

Since there are no keys in the Soft Token software organizations can make Soft Tokens safely available for download from a public website. Licenses are based on activations so users can install the software and administrators can mange activations through a separate notification process.

	ActivIdentity Mobile Soft Token Mobile Tokens can be provisioned over-the-air or via Bluetooth™ synchronization with the users computer. The OTP is generated on the device after confirmation of the users PIN. Mobile Tokens are available on leading handset operating systems including J2ME, BlackBerry, Palm and Windows Mobile 5 and 6.
	ActivIdentity Web Soft Token Web Soft Token supports roaming allowing a user to register several machines which can be used for strong authentication with any of the leading Web browsers on Windows and Macintosh computers. The Web Soft Tokens deliver strong authentication without the need to distribute software to end users.
	ActivIdentity Mobile Soft Token PC Soft Tokens are easily distributed on a public website or as part of a standard machine build setup by IT staff. Users can access the token from the Windows system tray or launch the application from the start menu.

Soft Tokens can be distributed quickly and never expire

Time delays normally associated with planning, distributing and replacing hard tokens are eliminated. There is no expiration date for Soft Token software.

Reuse Soft Token licenses

Soft Token licenses can be recycled. For instance, if a user leaves an organization her replacement can be issued a new Soft Token under the same license as the previous user. Licenses can also be reused if a user has lost their device. The reuse of Soft Token licenses dramatically lowers total cost for ownership for a population of Soft Token users.

Soft Tokens only require that a user remember their PIN, a simple “ATM” model users know well.
